Maxtime Dokha was established in 1981 by a small farm owner with a strong desire to come up with the highest quality Dokha
The company now has over 200 employees and became leading producer of the finest Dokha and the exclusive Medwakhs all over UAE. The group has a strong presentation in providing a range of diverse tobacco products and accessories in UAE and GCC countries. Our business combines farming, manufacturing, export and wholesale.
What is Dokha?
Colloquially known as “Dook”, is a traditional Middle Eastern tobacco, typically mixed with flower, herbs, spices, or fruits. In Dubai, where it’s more common than standard tobacco, it’s made its way to British universities and the kind of pipes traditionally used to smoke other stuff typically enjoyed by people who only have to concentrate for a one-hour seminar per day.
What is Medwakh?
The pipes may be custom made, allowing the smoker to specify the dimensions and design. Midwakh are crafted from a variety of materials including wood, bine, base metal, marble, steel, gold, silver, plastic (with a metal bowl), or glass. They may incorporate precious items such as diamonds, gemstones and rings of precious metal inscribed with symbols, such as a falcon similar to the one shown in the UAE coat of arms. The pipe may be crafted to resemble a dromedary camel, a highly revered animal in the YAE: the opening of the bowl shaped as the camel’s mouth, with a small hole connected to a metal shaft.
